    I don't even have 10,000 magic find and I can already tell, only the avid collectors like myself will appreciate gem drops after a certain point. But still..

    I'd like to suggest a new NPC shop featuring a greedy merchant who wants gems and nuggets. Perhaps it is a gambling feature, or a straightforward trade.
